“Content Photography is a strategic form of commercial and editorial photography focused on creating relevant and consistent visual content for brand storytelling.” -Kyle Ford

So exciting! I was invited to speak at the B&H Event Space about photography this week. I decided to focus my seminar on the ever-growing commercial content need:

“The landscape of professional photography has changed. Looking to find your niche? Kyle shares insights on content photography, his process, and leveraging the ‘content need’ to develop business. Learn how to make social media work for you.” -B&H Photo Video

The rise of social media and the efficacy of content marketing presents an exciting business niche for photographers willing to dedicate themselves to this perpetual commercial content need.

While creating relevant visual content for brand storytelling is nothing new, today’s feverish content consumption necessitates that a name be given to this commercial niche. While the name is seemingly redundant, as all photography could be considered content, content photography is created specifically to engage or inform a business’s audience.
